UPDATE

Today i have made my Front Cover of my magazine i have made a few changes which are; my masthead used to consists of colour blue and pink but due to my models clothes i had to change the colour to a slight peach. Also as my background is grey i had to change the black into a white cover therefore its easier to see and to read. The white is also making my magazine stand out even more.

Always turn off the light while taking photographs

Do not touch the raw light inside
Beep indicates that everything is ready to go and lights are all synced up
Green button is used to test the light on the flash
If the dial is on 1 then it is at the lowest brightness and 6 is the brightest
Recommended to keep the lights (flash) at 3
Switch off the lights before taking the plug out of the sockets to avoid electrocution
Main Key Light is the Right side of the face
Fill Light will Fill in shadow for even distribution
The tallest light is used to show the hairline and make the upper part of the body more visible
Lens = 18-105mm zoom
3 Modes A, S and M
A (Aperture) will control the DOF (Depth of Field) A Shallow DOF only focuses on the model and not the background
S (shutter priority) will control at what speed the shutter will close this is useful for moving objects or moving models.
WB = White Balance and it means the lights are on with natural light
ISO = Film Speed, higher the number, use the top dial and use either 100 or 200
Shoot in raw so its easier for manipulation

Call Sheet

My Masthead

This is my Masthead to create this I have used Illustrator as it was very east to use and to create. I for my masthead I have chosen the colours blue and pink this is because my magazine will be based on both gender therefore I have used those 2 colours. However the female gender will dominate the male therefore I have put the pink in front of the blue.

Magazine Front Cover Draft

This is my magazine front cover so far. I have chosen a colour scheme of purple and black as those colours make my magazine stand out. I have used a font called "Agency FB" because its really easy to understand and it also makes the magazine look different and more professional looking, I have used Photoshop to create my magazine front cover because its really easy to use.
